REGISTRATION

To register for A Healthy Cuba, Healthy World: Celebrating History, Community & Culture, MEDICC’s 2^nd Annual Conference, please click here:  REGISTRATION.  The last date to register for the conference is October 26, 2018.

Primary travelers whose work or profession, professional background, or area of expertise, including area of graduate-level full-time study, relates to the conference content may travel legally to Cuba to attend conferences organized by US entities such as MEDICC.

Family members over the age of 16 are welcome to accompany you, as long as they attend a full schedule of Conference activities.  Please contact Christian Vigil at MEDICC for information on exceptions for younger children (age 4 and up).

Sign-up for specific Conference activities will take place in October.

TRAVEL

The official travel agency for the Conference is Marazul, and only Marazul can make your Conference arrangements (airport transfers, all-inclusive hotel, transportation to all off-site Conference activities, AMISTUR assistance on the ground).  MEDICC arranges all conference activities, and sends your registration information to Marazul.

Marazul has blocked seats on several flights from Miami to Holguín, and Fort Lauderdale to Holguín (in eastern Cuba, north of Santiago). Flight options are listed on the registration form, and in the Conference FAQ , p. 4.  Conference participants will travel from Holguín to Santiago via air-conditioned Amistur bus; the airport transfer cost is included in conference fees, and travel time is approximately 2.5 hours one way.  Please indicate your flight preferences on the registration form.

Alternatively, you may arrange your own flights to Cuba – MEDICC strongly recommends that you only arrange to arrive via Holguín only on the dates of the Conference.  MEDICC cannot assist with any travel arrangements or certifying the legality of your travel outside the dates of the Conference.

PAYMENT

MEDICC requires payment in full at the time of registration.  Links to payment forms can be found on the registration form, on the DATES & PRICES webpage, and on the Conference FAQ, p. 5.  PLEASE NOTE: If you arrange flights through Marazul, Joel Andujar or Giselle Ortega will invoice you for air travel, visa, and document delivery after your corresponding registration deadline.   Final payments are due to Marazul by October 26, 2018.
